A Jew passed through a Muslim settlement
A Jew passed through a Muslim settlement. He thought to himself, "Why not create doubts in their hearts regarding their religion?" And make them suspicious of their scholars. Before entering the settlement, he met a shepherd. The Jew thought, why not start with this ignorant person and create doubts and suspicions against Islam in the heart and mind of this shepherd. The Jew met this shepherd and said, "I am a Muslim traveler." In the midst of these conversations, the Jew began to say, "How much effort do we Muslims take to memorize the Holy Quran, when this Quran consists of thirty parts? But there are countless similar verses in the Quran that are the same. Why do we need to repeat them again and again? If the similarities are removed, the Quran will become even shorter and it will be much easier to memorize. The shepherd listened to him carefully and remained silent. When the Jew finished speaking, the shepherd said, "Your idea is very good. The Jew was very happy in his heart that this shepherd had fallen into my trap." Then suddenly the shepherd He said, "I have a question," the Jew said, "Ask me. Do you want the repetitions or similarities in the Quran to be removed?"
Yes, I think that if the verses that are repeated more than once are removed from the Quran, the Quran will be shorter and easier to remember. The shepherd said, "It seems to me that some parts of your body are more than one, which are creating repetition, which is of no use. Why not cut off one of your two hands and keep only one of your two feet because this is repetition. Why do you need two eyes? The work can be done with one eye. Why not remove one of your eyes? Why do you need two ears and two kidneys? There is repetition in this too. If all these repetitive parts are removed, your body will also become lighter, and the amount of food will also decrease, and you will not need to struggle much, what do you think?"
The Jew immediately stood up with his black face and continued to think all his life that if the shepherd of the Muslims has this concern, what will be the thoughts of their scholars?! Quoted from the Silent Guardian
