The army surrounded a village in search of the Taliban

The army surrounded a village in search of the Taliban and began interrogating an elder. The soldiers suspected that the villagers were Taliban supporters. An army officer asked the elder,

“What do you think of the Pakistan Army?”

The elder replied calmly,

“The Pakistan Army is our protector and we value our army very much.”

The army officer asked again,

“Do you consider us infidels?”

The elder immediately said,

“Astaghfirullah! We cannot even think like that.”

Then the officer asked,

“What do you think of the Taliban?”

The elder replied nervously,

“The Taliban want to enforce Sharia, are against America and call themselves soldiers of Allah.”

The army officer asked sternly,

“So you don’t consider the Taliban infidels?”

The elder humbly said,

“Your Majesty, we neither consider you infidels nor the Taliban.”

Hearing this, the military officer got angry and said angrily,

"If the Taliban are Muslims and we are Muslims, then who is the infidel?"

The elder placed his hand on his chest with great simplicity and pain and said,

"Sir, the infidels are just us ordinary people... who are beaten by both sides."
