 When an Imam of a mosque arrivedWhen an Imam of a mosque arrived in London, England, for work, it became his habit to take a bus from home to the mosque every day.

After weeks of arriving in London, while traveling on buses at fixed times and on the same route, it happened many times that the bus was the same and the bus driver was the same.

Once, this Imam boarded the bus, paid the fare to the driver and took the change and sat down on a seat. Before putting the change given by the driver in his pocket, he saw that he had received twenty pence more.

The Imam got into a thought, then he told himself that he would return this twenty pence to the driver while getting off because it was not his right. Then a thought also came to him that forget this little money, who cares about such a little money!!!

The transport company earns millions of pounds from the earnings of these buses, what difference will this little money make in their earnings? And I put this money in my pocket as a gift from Allah and keep quiet.

When the bus stopped at the stop desired by Imam Sahib, Imam Sahib returned the twenty pence to the driver before getting off and said; Take this twenty pence, it seems you have given me too much by mistake.

The driver took the twenty pence back and smiled and asked Imam Sahib; Are you the new Imam of the mosque in this area? I have been wanting to come to your mosque for a long time and get information about Islam. I had deliberately given you this twenty pence more so that I could test your attitude towards this small amount.

And as soon as Imam Sahib got off the bus, he felt as if his life had gone out of his legs. He took the support of a pole to prevent himself from falling, raised his face to the sky and prayed while crying, O Allah, forgive me, I was just selling Islam for twenty pence...

When we are honest, Satan always attacks from the weak side. If we get millions, it is possible that we will deliver that trust to someone and for ten or twenty rupees, Satan tempts us that what harm will it do to anyone. It is a small amount. 

Honest behavior is a great blessing, but being consistent in it is a special blessing of Allah Almighty. 

May Allah grant us the ability to be honest in our lives, Amen
