Journey from the World of Spirits to the World of Intermission (Episode No. 62)

There was a strange calm and contentment on the face of this soul, as if a traveler had found cool shade after the scorching sun. He said in a slow but confident tone: "I have no need to be sad for these crying loved ones. I can see them clearly, their tears, their anguish are all in my sight, but now they have lost the ability to see me. The greatest happiness for me is that my Lord is pleased with me, He has shown me my eternal and best place which was promised to the truthful. So why am I sad? I have emerged victorious in the difficult test of this world, the joy of my success is so great that I cannot make myself sad even if I want to."

 Hearing her words, a feeling of envy arose in both of our hearts, wishing that we too could be blessed with this eternal success. My soulmate asked curiously: "Do you recognize us?"

She smiled and said: "We are all from the same origin, but our paths and places are different. You are still residents of the world of spirits and have not yet embarked on the journey of this world that the Lord created for the testing of man. You have only arrived here thanks to the special permission and love of the Lord of the Worlds. The success that you desire in your heart, if the Lord wills, you will also achieve it."

I asked in surprise: "If angels come to take souls, why did they leave you here alone?"

 He replied: "No, they did not leave me alone. They took me to the heights of heaven, where my name and my mother's name were called in the company of angels. There the gates of heaven were opened for me and I was presented before the Emperor of the Universe. At that time, a strange drowsiness came over me, because the stage of separation of body and soul is extremely painful and soul-destroying. I was still in the grip of this anguish when suddenly the film of my entire life began to play before my eyes in a unique way."

 She paused for a moment and then said: "I was feeling extremely ashamed of some parts of my life. I didn't want to see that scene, but I was forced to. Some moments of my life were spent in disobedience, which were causing me pain at that time. But then slowly the scene started changing, I was shown those actions that I had done purely for the pleasure of my Lord. I saw how I used to be loyal to people, think a thousand times before showing my heart to someone, and forgive those who did evil to me simply for the sake of Allah."

 There was now a sense of satisfaction in his tone: "As the good deeds of my life came to light, my heart was filled with peace. I found myself immersed in the worship of my Lord, where every breath I took was calm with His remembrance. Instead of being impatient with the bitter words of people, I kept my patience. My life also ended in this state of submission, seeing all this, I stood before the Lord with my head bowed. Then I was told that since you avoided major sins, your small mistakes were forgiven and 'Sakina' (peace) was bestowed upon you. Now I have been sent back to this place so that when my loved ones lay me down, they may show me my eternal abode. Now I am impatiently waiting for my burial so that I can reach this peaceful place, but these friends of mine, out of their love and affection, are delaying my burial, thereby delaying my peace."

 My soulmate and I were shaken by his suffering. I pleaded: "Give us some advice so that when we go to this world by the command of the Lord, we will also return successful and our Lord will be pleased with us."

He sighed deeply and said: "I don't think that you will remember what you will learn from here in the world. The law of nature is that a person forgets everything as soon as he steps into the world."

I turned around and said: "How is this possible? We have come so far, we have come this far by the will of the Lord, how can we forget who we are and what our purpose is?"

He said seriously: "The path to come to the world is very difficult and there your enemies (devils) will be with you."

I asked: "Did enemies come with you too? Where are they now?"

He said: "Come with me, I will show you their helplessness."  Saying this, she flew outside and we followed her. She took us to a deserted place some distance from the house where some people were digging the earth.

She pointed and said: "Look, they are preparing a grave for me. My body will be buried under this soil and I will be reunited with it in a new way. And look! How my enemies (devils) are hovering around this grave. They are trying their best to somehow interfere with the work by whispering in the minds of these grave diggers so that my burial will be delayed and I will not be able to reach my peaceful place soon. But they are unsuccessful. If they could not mislead me in life, what will they be able to do now?"

That strange creature sometimes took the form of smoke and sometimes appeared in thin and weak forms. They seemed very contemptible in front of the light of this soul.  Suddenly, the creature started moving towards us, so the spirit roared and said: "Beware! These are my guests, if you disturb them, you will have a bad end." Hearing this, they ran away screaming.
