As much as our doctors stand side by side with each other to get papers done on the detection of a minor mistake, I wish they would have shown the same
solidarity to save the life of a patient at King Abdullah Hospital.
The story of Khizr's death a few months ago is not a myth, it is a truth that happened before us. He kept begging for life, kept pleading for treatment, everyone's eyes remained uninterested, and his conscience was silent. A living person kept dying slowly, and the system remained a spectator.
A few days ago, the father of Kaghan News' Rafaqat Aoun Bhai passed away. The story he told about King Abdullah is also such
that one stands in awe after hearing the negligence.
What a tragedy it is that government OPDs are closed on a small matter, hospitals are deserted, but no matter how serious the problem, private clinics are never closed. I myself am an eyewitness to this. There was a protest in Abbottabad on the martyrdom of Dr. Warda, government hospitals were closed, patients were stranded, but private clinics were open with full swing, as if there was no protest, no grief, no principle at all.
Now news has come that the Chairman of Mansehra City, Khadim Abdul Waheed, was arrested for raising his voice in favor of patients at King Abdullah Hospital. For what crime? On a video,
in which there was no rudeness, no insult, just a cry for proper treatment for a patient.
But perhaps this cry pricked someone's ego, and using this video as an excuse, he found another justification to bunk off duty. Believe me, leaving the OPD with the help of excuses has now become the norm.
We consider every good and honest doctor to be the messiah of the nation and we are proud of all these doctors.
But every doctor who does not do his duty is considered a burden on the treasury. He is the worst enemy of this nation. Because he destroys the homes of the poor. Such people waste their own and the nation's valuable time and play with their lives.
Waheed Bhai! Be strong. Your voice is not alone, it is the cry of thousands of patients who are suffering at the doorsteps of government hospitals every day. Insha Allah, the day will come when legal action will not only be taken against those who raise questions, but also against those who do not answer.
Now is the time to launch an organized campaign, collect all these cases where doctors committed incompetence, negligence or abuse, and
put them before the administration and the law.
A team should be formed under the supervision of a social worker to collect these cases, have their WhatsApp group, hold meetings, and then legal action should be taken.
If those cases are delivered to PM&DC from where they are issued licenses, then this series may stop somewhere or other.
Because people are crying in every government hospital, such stories come out every day that make the heart cry tears of blood, and the question remains that is, is being poor such a big crime? And if all social activists and right-wingers do not raise their voice on this issue, then this poem is your offering. Those who see the burning house, the roof of the forest is yours. The wind has intensified ahead and behind, the destiny is yours. I was also silent on his murder, my turn has come now. You should also be silent on my murder, the next turn is yours.
